Elizabeth Rucker

Elizabeth Rucker is a performer, playwright, and former Artistic Director of Arts4All, with over 20 years of experience in community-engaged and devised arts. Her training, research and work in devised play creation, as a founding member of Number Eleven Theatre (ICARIA,1998; The Prague Visitor, 2003; and The Curious History of Peter Schlemihl, 2004) strongly informs her approaches to making art and theatre with people. She has led numerous large-scale collaborations and projects in Toronto and across Canada, most notably as the Artistic Director of Arts4All, as Story Animator at Holland Bloorview Children’s Hospital’s Centre for the Arts’ Spiral Garden program, and as an Associate Artist at Jumblies Theatre. Her work with Arts4All includes the large-scale collaborative community theatre projects: Your Name is Written in the Sky (2004), We Live Here (2009), I Was A Brave Child (2013), First Prize (2013) and Down In the Deeps (2014). Liz is a graduate of York University Theatre program.
